This New Haven clock Co. Tambour 56 mantel clock has an 8-day brass movement and strikes on a coiled gong. I have found no information about this clock other than the label on the bottom of the case. The case style is typical New Haven from around 1929 and I believe this clock was made about that time give or take a few years. The movement appears to be original to the case but there is no visible maker's logo. The strike hammer location and mechanism is somewhat unusual. This clock is offered for sale "as received" and needs to be serviced before it will run properly. Both springs are partly wound and the clock will tick briefly when the pendulum is moved. I can see no major issues with the movement but it is dirty and needs to be cleaned and oiled. I did not remove the movement to inspect from the front side. The pendulum and winding key are missing. The glass in the door is missing. The case has a few bumps and scrapes as seen in the pictures.
This is a non-working clock for repair or restoration and is priced accordingly. I will be glad to do a full service on the movement and guarantee it for one year for an additional $100.00. (glass replacement not included) I do not do case restoration work.
For Sale "as is where is" $75.00
