Seth Thomas "Dana No. 3" Adamantine mantel clock with Seth Thomas 89-AD movement, circa 1913.
Nice Seth Thomas Adamantine mantel clock with eight-day Seth Thomas 89-AD time/strike movement. Strikes the hour and Half-hour on a coiled gong in the bottom of the case. Beautiful adamantine case is in very nice condition with only a tiny chip top rear at the back edge as shown. The ivorine type dial is in good condition with some yellowing (see pictures). This clock was acquired at auction and I believe everything is original and correct. The label is in very nice condition and contains the operating instructions. The label No. is 296-C-M.P.-73990. The movement has been disassembled, cleaned and lubricated. Pivots have been polished, and pivot holes bushed as needed. This clock is a very strong runner. Height about 11 inches.
Note that this clock is NOT the same clock I sold in December 2019. That clock had an identical case but had a Seth Thomas 89-C movement with the half-hour strike on a small bell.
