Sessions Gothic Shelf Clock, circa 1931
This is an 8-day clock with brass movement. It strikes on the hour and half-hour.
This clock was obtained from an estate auction on February 20, 2006 and was a
"basket case". There is a hand written date of 1931 on the back door,
which I believe may have been the date of original purchase, or possibly when the
clock was repaired. The movement and face are signed "Sessions". The dial
is 6 inches in diameter and the clock is 9 inches wide and 13 inches tall. I have
no other information about this clock.
The case was repaired and refinished, the glass replaced, one hand was repaired,
and the movement cleaned and bushed as needed for reliable operation. I believe
that everything else is original. This clock runs daily and has been reliable for
many months.
SOLD on eBay® $164.00 in 2013
