Kienzle 8-Day German Box Wall Clock, circa 1980
This unidentified Kienzle wall clock at first blush appears to be similar to other typical German "box clocks", however, on close examination this one has a rather narrow case. Notice that the door trim is attached to the door itself. I believe the clock is from the last quarter of the twentieth century. It seems to be well constructed and was a strong runner after being serviced, so much so that the pendulum nearly strikes the sides of the case. It has a pleasant 3-note "bim-bam" strike. The main wheel attachment to the spring barrels is atypical but not unique. I wish I knew more about this clock and was sorry to see it leave after being serviced.
