Unidentified Cuckoo Clock with Dancers and Music box, circa modern
This is a 'modern' cuckoo clock with dancers and a music box. The music box
is powered by a third weight. The clock uses the popular Regula 25 one-day cuckoo
clock movement. The clock arrive for service because of problems with the music
box. It was discovered that the plastic gear of the music box governor had cracked.
This is typical of modern clocks with pressed-on plastic gears. The governor part
of the music box was replaced with a new one which required a bit of modification
to fit. The clock movement was oiled and the clock returned to the owner in
operating order.
