This Ansonia sharp Gothic steeple clock has not been identified by model name, but the older style movement and similar examples suggest that it was probably made in the 1870's. It has a full label with the Ansonia Clock Co. name. Earlier Ansonia steeple clocks would likely have had the Ansonia Brass Co. name. As received the tablet was very distressed and the movement required cleaning and the usual bushing and pivot work. I believe the spring powered brass movement is a 30-hour runner. After restoration the clock was returned to the owner in good running order.
