Seth Thomas Empire No. 18 Crystal Regulator circa 1913.
This Seth Thomas crystal regulator is believed to be the Empire No. 18 circa
1913. The porcelain dial is marked "Made by Seth Thomas in USA" and is
more plain than other Empire No. 18 examples found on line. This is an 8-day clock
in a case of glass, brass, and cast parts with gilding. It has a 2-chambered
pendulum with faux mercury steel weights. It has the round Seth Thomas B-48-N time
and strike movement. Strike is on a coiled gong.
