This is a "modern" (circa 1967) rendition of the clasic Steeple
Clock from the 19th century. It stands about 15 inches tall and 9
inches wide. The Sharon was made in several variations including an electric
model. This example uses a German time and stgrike movement. Some Sharons had
American made Seth Thomas movements. It strikes the hour on a single slanted brass
tone rod. The A208-002 movcement "Made for Seth Thomas" appears to be the
same as the Hermle or the same number. There is a hole in the back of the case with
a removable plug that allows limited access to the escapement for adjustment.
