Seth Thomas Prospect No.9 shelf clock, circa 1913.
This clock was
obtained from an estate auction in March 2006. It has a Seth Thomas N0. 89 brass 8-day time and strike movement with a half-deadbeat escapement. Strikes the hour and the half-hour on a coiled gong. I believe
this is a Prospect No.9 The case may have been refinished, but not recently. The fancy brass faced lead adjustable pendulum bob is old, but probably not original as this clock has a key operated rate adjuster on the clock dial. The clock was cleaned and 4 bushings installed in October 2007. The original key is missing and there is no label. I believe that everything else is original.
SOLD for $200 December 2019
