This is a short drop trunk octagon clock by New England Clock Co. It has a small
German made brass movement with bim-bam strike on two tone rods. The escapement is
a simple type recoil with a solid escape wheel. The main springs are in barrels and
are removable without disassembling the movement. The clock uses a rack and snail
strike system. The face is uncovered. Access to the pendulum is only by removing
the back of the clock which is a bit inconvenient. This clock was acquired at a
local estate auction, serviced, and donated to a local church thrift shop/yard
sale. It was purchased by a curch member who really likes it.
