Lawson Electric Clock, Model P-40, style 500, circa 1934
This is the highly collectable model number P-40. I believe the P-40's were
made around 1934. They were made in several styles, considered very modern at the
time. This one is "style 500". It has a heavy metal case with a copper or
bronze like finish and a mechanical digital time display. The "seconds"
wheel turns continually and each of the other digits rolls over at the correct
moment. It's a fascinating clock to watch. There is an opening in the bottom
where one can advance the time wheels to set the clock.
The clock is in good running condition. The cord is a replacement. The motor is the
correct type, but I can't tell if it's the original.
SOLD $120.50 on eBay year 2006
