Vintage electric clock lamp, unknown maker, circa 1930s acquired Feb. 2007. No makers
name found. The original movement (not running) is a very
early electric clock movement with open rotor. These clocks
had to be manually started by spinning a little knob on the
back. Has a cast metal base (possibly zinc) and was designed
to be a lamp. Case was been refinished. The old electric motor movement
replaced with a quartz movement due to safety concerns with continuously operating old electric clocks unattended. (The original movement was sold to someone who planned to restore it for another similar clock.) The original hands and
3½ inch metal dial were retained.
