Kieninger & Obergfell Kundo anniversary clock, circa
1976
Clock is about 12 inches tall to the top of the dome. The face is a little over
3½ inches in diameter. Brass movement is clean and bright. I believe this is a
400-day clock. The back plate matches Plate 1380 in Horolover 400 Day Clock
Repair Guide, 10th Edition, by Charles Terwilliger, and the clock has the
plastic snap-in suspension protector, which places this clock around 1976. The
heavy plastic dome is very clear and scratch free - looks just like glass. The base
has three adjustable leveling feet that work properly. Everything looks original to
me. The brass (I believe some parts are brass and others may be brass plated) could
use a little polish, especially out side the area covered by the dome. The original
key is missing.
This clock was obtained from an estate auction in October 2008, I don't know
when or if it's ever been serviced. I wound it and set it and it started right
up and ran continuously until sold.
SOLD on eBay® $17.50
