This is a vintage Sessions Cabinet K61 clock. It has an Oak case and is very much
like a typical "Kitchen Clock" but not as tall. The movement is a spring
powered 8-day time and strike brass movement. Striking on the hour and half-hour is
on a nice sounding heavy coiled gong. Acquired November 26, 2012 at a local estate
auction. The unrestored case appears to have it's original finish and door
glass. The case seems solid but the upper decorative panel is slightly curved or
warped. The dial appears to be original and has darkened somewhat over the years.
The movement was completely disassembled, cleaned and oiled. Five brass bushings
were installed. The pendulum is not original to this clock. Clock is running and
striking well. Ii is attractive as it is with its original finish, but could easily
be refinished if one prefers a refinished look.
(The information above about the model was gathered from various on-line sources
and seems correct but the accuracy cannot be guaranteed.)
