8-day time and strike spring powered mantel clock by the E.
Ingraham Co. Strikes the hour and the half on a coiled gong.
Movement is dated 1929 and is typical of the mass-produced
clocks of the late 1920's and 1930's. Note the
increased use of stamped steel parts in the movement. The
clock has a silvered metal face and printed numerals. Some of
the numerals have been mostly rubbed away, which is typically
the result of someone attempting to clean the clock. The
movement was cleaned and serviced and the case left "as
is" as per customer's request. Although this is a
very "ordinary" clock from this period, it has
great sentimental value for it's owner. The clock runs
well and has a lovely sounding strike.
