Greenfield Enterprises small "dresser" clock with vintage
German movement, 2008
I made this little "dresser" clock to make use of this little vintage
movement. The clock (timepiece) is 6 inches tall. The case is African rose wood
veneer over 1/8 inch plywood. The movement is a small 30-hour time only brass
movement with a pin-pallet lever escapement. There are no identifying marks on the
movement, but the back cover says "Made in Germany". The pinned plates
would seem to suggest a vintage movement. The beveled glass and brass bezel are
attached to the movement via what looks like a zinc metal sleeve. After a few
bushings and replacement pallet pins, the little movement is running fine.
