Ansonia Essex Black Iron Mantel Clock.
This clock was acquired in an eBay auction December 11, 2005, from a seller in Maspeth, NY. No information is available about the clock's previous owners or history. The back access cover is a replacement and the pendulum bob may be a replacement. I refinished the case on Dec. 24, 2005. I believe the rest of the clock is original. The case and case back have the number "175" cast in. The clock was clean inside and in running condition as received. Eight-day brass movement, hour and half-hour gone strike, black iron case. Circa 1904.
